Brown Onion, 1 grated
Butter (30 grams)
Garlic Gloves, 1 crushed
Turmeric, 1/2 teaspoon ground
Ginger, 1/2 teaspoon ground
Cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon
Paprika, 1/2 teaspoon
Cumin, 1/2 teaspoon
Cayenne Pepper, pitch
Couscous, 50 grams
Lemon Juice, 2 teaspoon
Italian Parsley, chopped to garnish
Grate carrots. Place onion in a saucepan with butter and cook over medium heat for 3 minutes.
ADD 1) garlic, 2) turmeric, 3) Cinnamon, 4) paprika, 5) cayenne pepper and 6) the carrot to saucepan.
Bring to boil, cover and reduce to simmer for 15 minutes. Add couscous, stir until boiling, then cover and gently simmer for another 20 minutes.
ADD lemon juice and serve hot, topped with a little chopped Italian parsley.
